Test & Analysis
TES has invested in an internal test room that allows any tests required by the customer to be performed. The laboratories are provided with facilities, equipment and workers able to perform acceptance, special and type tests on the complete range of transformers on the market.
The current test room is equipped for testing transformers up to 500 MVA with insulation up to 420 kV with industrial frequency and is provided with automatic systems for measurement and data acquisition and instrumentation for the performance of the newest diagnostic tests such as S.F.R.A. (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis).
Main characteristics of the test room:
Pulse generator 2000 kV – 200 kJ energy
30 MVA power supply adjustable up to 100 kV with industrial frequency
Power supply through generator unit from 1200 kVA to 150 Hz for induced voltage tests.
Power line for testing furnace transformers with output current up to 8000 A
124 Mvar PFC batteries
The following tests are generally carried out:
- Heating tests
- Long thermal tests
- Insulation tests
- Atmospheric pulse tests
- Induced voltage tests
- Measurement of losses and no-load currents
- Measurement of losses and short-circuit voltage
- Measurement of noise in octave bands
- Hydraulic pressure and vacuum tests with measurement of deformations
- Measurement of partial discharges
